I never thought that missing one week to go on vacation would put me so much in the hole. It's taken every minute I have to keep on top of what's going on and I still haven't gotten to things I said I would two weeks ago when I got back. No matter though.
I'll still be leaving town again this Saturday but for two weeks this time around. My goal ... and this is subject to change depending on many factors such as the availability of good reading materials, quality of weather, availability of funds, quality of available conversations, abundance of beach-enhancing eyecandy, etc. ... is to write a couple posts / polls while I'm gone so that I can get something up while I'm back in town catching up.
That's the plan anyway. In the interim ... I'll try to post a couple things this week so keep checking in.
Study: Drivers on cells more likely to crash
I'm not sure what's more alarming. The fact that we needed an official study to figure this out or that "hands-free" phones are of no benefit to making driving "safer" while being in a cellphone conversation while driving.
It's almost as if driving an automobile is a bit more mentally involving than walking or chewing gum.
No, that's not a formal hypothesis and, despite the fact that some agencies (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) are interested in throwing money away for such research, there is no formal experiment or survey planned.
Simply, if I didn't spend so much time doing things for other people, I'd post more :-)
