that song reminds me of ...

I've been known to be a bit nostalgic at times (let's leave it at that) and I was watching a DVD last night when a song came on that made me think of someone / some place / some time from years past. That happens to me every now and then and it's somewhat startling but it's almost always a pleasant kind of startling that makes me smile (even if only for me to see).

I'd like to make this a poll but I know polls seem to see very little action late in the week ... SO ... I'll simply list a couple of songs that remind me of certain people (to list places / times as well would be overwhelming ... MOST of my CD's remind me of one place or another at some time in my life so I'll focus on people) and if anyone wants to share, that'd be cool with me.

Hmm, let's see ... (Warning - for those of you who don't want to know what songs remind me of ex-girlfriends, STOP READING NOW and don't be mad that they're listed!)

Anything by Boston or Journey - Gar

Some song with the words "boot in your ass" (some country song) - Jon

I Love You, Always, Forever (Donna Lewis) - Scott

You Make Me Wanna (Usher) - Kel
Crash (DMB) - Kel
Certain songs by Blessed Union of Souls - Kel

Hot in Here (Nelly) - Jess

Better Man and Nothing Man (Pearl Jam) - Jenn
Anything on the Morning Glory CD (Oasis) - Jenn

Certain songs by Chantal Kreviazuk - Steph
Certain songs by Everclear - Steph

Anything by The Spice Girls - Katie

Roll To Me (Del Amitri) - Sarah

Some of these relationships between people and music are pretty obvious, others, not so much. It occurred to me how different each association is and maybe that's because the relationships with the people are so varied, I don't know. If you're not on this list, don't be offended, I just listed a couple quick ones off the top of my head. It's HIGHLY likely that there's a song that reminds me of you too.
