SO, NY baseball teams have, once again, spent a ton of money in the offseason. I'm not here to judge. Quite frankly, I couldn't care less how much they spend on their payroll.
Granted, it's far too early to tell with any certainty but, who do you think had the better offseason thus far? I leave "better" intentionally vague and open to interpretation. If you'd like to consider image, finances, ability, age, historical performance, etc. be my guest.

It's a good time watching them play, as long as they at least give some effort. I just wish there was some way for them to do it without pricing tickets right out of my ability to pay.
Posted by: Jason at January 12, 2005 01:42 PMhmmm, well its tough to guess at whos had the better offseason, given we really dont know who is ACTUALLY washed up yet :-) I would say at this point, you'd have to say the Mets, though I hate Pedro. Ill have to root for him now though, not much choice as our Ace. While Randy Johnson is a nice pickup for the Yankees, I think the Mets have made changes that will affect them in a larger fashion than getting Randy. That being said, I miss the days of Hojo, Tim Teufel, Dave Magadan, Doc Gooden, and Kevin McReynolds! The Mets were the only good thing of the 80's :-)
