I just ran to Burger King for lunch. While I was in the car, I heard the last half of From a Distance by Bette Midler. Hahaha, I honestly laughed out loud. Sure, I knew I hated that song and all of Bette Midler's work but, damn, I couldn't stop laughing. I'm laughing now just writing this. What WERE people thinking?!? Hahahaha.
Posted by languorous at January 11, 2005 01:56 PMI heard it today @ work... i didnt laugh, but I thought of how it was written during the Persian Gulf war... and how frickin young I was back then! Where did 14 years go?
Posted by: Christina at January 11, 2005 05:18 PMApparently you missed my guilty pleasure music.
Posted by: Karen at January 12, 2005 03:54 PMHaha Karen! It's funny you just wrote this, because I heard it on the radio the other day too. I was actually going to add it to my guilty pleasures, because I often find that I leave it on :(
Posted by: Lori at January 12, 2005 04:33 PMhmmm, I find this song a bit ironic, because it is best heard "From a Distance"...... a very far away distance.
HAHA!
