words i don't get

I just don't get some words. For example, textiles.

There's no text involved.

There are no tiles either.

I'd like "textiles" dropped from today's lexicon. Anyone oppose?

Don't worry according to the folks at a Dallas church you don't have to worry about words disappearing because they believe the end of the world is near and we are all going to disappear. Check it out CNN.com "Preparing for the end." (I'm giving credit to Amy for finding the site).

Really, I have tried to find this article, but to no avail. I think that if it is so hard to find, well, it just can't be all that gripping of a story.
