Up until last Saturday night, I had never eaten in an IHOP. I'm a big fan of breakfast food and I've been meaning to check it out for a while but it's not the first place that pops into my mind when I'm looking to go out for dinner. Well, I happened to see a TV advertisement for their stuffed french toast this past Friday and I just happened to drive by it on Saturday and decided that I should finally check it out.
Well, I can't say enough about the banana stuffed french toast. It was phenomenal. One of the best "new" foods I've had in years. I'm planning a return trip to see if it's always that good.
It's almost hard to discern if it's breakfast or desert, it was that good. If it's just as good the next time I go back, I'll highly recommend it but I'll abstain from recommendations until I've put it to the test one more time.
Has anyone else tried any of IHOP's stuffed french toasts (there are three different kinds)?
Anyone have anything else amazing to eat lately?
Posted by languorous at May 8, 2006 09:33 AMHahaha, no I have not. And I love that your first post in a month is dedicated to food. That is kick ass. I will definitely have to try it, I also love breakfast food. I have not tried anything lately that I can say was amazing. The GRILLED CHICKEN FLAVOR SHOTS I had at TGIF was pretty freekin tasty and spicy though.

The best thing I've had recently was at a restaurant in Brooklyn called Crave. I went there for my six monthiversary with M and got the ancho chili powder dusted duck breast with sauteed veggies, blueberry froth and garlic chips, and it knocked me OFF MY SEAT. So good.
