Here was the agenda ... check balances, allocate funds, pay bills, read mail (three magazines, one credit card offer), start web work for Eisenhard's, get new "instructions" webpage added to another website, start writing up project proposal for existing customer and write a few emails.
Here's what happened instead ... I had just checked my balances when I decided to hop on Ebay to see what was new on eBay motors. As I was looking at some things I had bookmarked last week, I realized that it was Tuesday night and Overhaulin or Rides might be on TV, SO, I hopped into the other room and found Overhaulin. As I flipped around during commercials, I found that Alien Vs. Predator was also on HBO or some other pay-channel. Even though I had seen it in the theater, I wanted to see it again to see if I'd like it any better or worse (my opinion remains pretty much the same as it did originally ... a kick-ass idea with a terrible plot, terrible science, and terrible dialog that still rocks for the ten or so minutes that actually involve Aliens fighting Predators). I wound up watching the last hour and a half of the movie while checking back to Overhaulin often enough to see a beautiful transformation of a 1995 Tahoe for a guy that donated his kidney to his friend. The movie ended at 10:30 and when I ran downstairs to grab a snack I found my dad watching Boston Legal which I TOTALLY forgot about (DAMN you ABC for moving the show to Tuesdays and let's get the new season started already!!) so I watched the last half hour of that show. During the last set of commercials for Boston Legal, I flipped around and found the final DCI (Drum Corp International) competition of the year in Mass. from a couple weeks ago on ESPN2. I had already missed the first hour but there was still an hour of competition left so I watched that until midnight. After that program was over (I caught the last five performances or so which just so happened to be the top five performances - creative editing?) I watched enough Sportscenter / Baseball Tonight to see Smoltz beat Martinez again.
I'm hoping that tonight works out a little closer to my original gameplan.

Guardsman 1: (breaking the door down) Alright everybody hands up. Put the control down, I repeat put the REMOTE CONTROL down.
Tom: (cowering in corner) But, but, but, its a rerun of CREATIVE PRUNING, a show where trees are tastefully trimmed but in exciting artistic fashion!!!! Over my dead body.......
(Tune in next week for the sequel)
BWAHAHAHAHA
Hmm, I've never seen this "Creative Pruning" you speak of but if it's hosted by Mr. Miyagi of Karate Kid fame, count me in! :-)
I am going to put a snag in your plans tonight, Sully is coming over so I can do wash, our washer is on the brink. :-) See you later!
