I SOOOOOOO hope Pedro Martinez gets his ass handed to him now that he's a Met. After reading this article and hearing him say he didn't deserve to be behind Schilling in Boston, I hope he sucks so badly the first couple weeks that the Mets throw him behind Glavine (who, quite frankly, deserves to start over Pedro anyway for the simple fact that Tommy at least understands what it's like to be on a TEAM and not be worried about who's number one in the rotation!). Now he's lobbying to get his catcher from Boston to follow him to the Mets. When asked what the Mets should do with Piazza, Pedro said "We can move him to first or somewhere. ... I want 'Tek. 'Tek is a good player, a good catcher." What a conceited, self-centered, arrogant little man ... I can't wait for the first NL pitcher to bean his ass and get in HIS head. Boston won DESPITE their cancerous tumor known as Pedro Martinez. I really don't think the Mets will be so lucky.

Let's see-- Mo Vaughn failed... so did Alomar... as did Floyd... I have an idea--let's get another past-his-prime post-superstar! How about Sammy Sosa? Or Moises Alou? Maybe we can get Albert Belle to come out of retirement??!?
Nonetheless, as a diehard Met fan-- I hope Pedro beats the shit out of the NL East.
